During the 5 years that the LECHUZA product line has been on the market, it has inspired both professional interior gardeners and end users with cleverly designed solutions for plant containers and accessories.

In previous years, the department exported to 45 countries throughout the world and was able to double its turnover with each successive year. To meet large demands in the coming months, LECHUZA production in Dietenhofen is being extended, and another coating facility is being installed. Additional injection molding machines will provide an even bigger production capacity.

LECHUZA on an expansion course
In the medium term, the company is aiming at a total annual turnover of 25 million Euro. This is to be achieved, amongst other things, by opening up new markets (e.g. the USA from 2006), and by forming business connections with suitable sales partners worldwide.

Product innovations
LECHUZA® is expanding its range in time for this year’s gafa 2006:
An additional column size, the LECHUZA CUBICO in size 50, completes the CUBICO product line with a height of 95 cm (37.4 in) and will be available - along with the CUBICO 30 and 40 - from the gafa onwards with the new plant liner featuring recessed carrying handles and compatible sub-irrigation set in new packaging. New colors – espresso metallic and scarlet red high-gloss – supplement the color range.

On the whole, the new department within geobra Brandstätter GmbH can draw a consistently positive conclusion for the previous year: LECHUZA was able to position itself as a premium brand for plant containers and accessories in a highly competitive market. The growing end user business and accompanying POS activities are strengthening the brand profile and with it the specific demand for the innovative plant containers with sub-irrigation. In short: The LECHUZA fan club is growing.
